Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Health Monitoring: Monitor vital signs, report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Medication Assistance: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with administration when qualified.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in conversation, and participate in recreational activities with clients.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties, including meal preparation and laundry, to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, grocery stores, or social events as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current Georgia Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- License: Valid Georgia driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist patients (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
