Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on schedule.
- Companionship: Engage in social activities and conversation to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Transportation: Provide safe transportation to medical appointments or social outings.
- Reporting: Document daily activities and report any changes in a client's condition to the nursing supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid Home Health Aide or CNA license in Massachusetts.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or long-term care is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
