Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility issues, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing to maintain a safe living environment.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, as directed by the RN or case manager.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social outings, providing companionship and assistance.
- Administer medication reminders and report any changes in the client's physical or emotional condition immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred.
- Current, valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as required by the job.
