Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications as prescribed and report any changes in health to the nurse.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, read to clients, play games, and provide emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Transportation: Provide safe transportation to and from medical appointments or social outings.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor and report changes in a client's physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, hospice, or long-term care is preferred.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and a drug screen.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: A dependable work history and punctuality are essential.
- Driving: Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
