Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and monitor for any adverse side effects.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in meaningful conversations to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report any changes in client health status to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Transportation: Assist with transportation to medical appointments or errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, nursing, or caregiving is highly valued.
- Driverβs License: Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient demeanor.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a strong work ethic.
