Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Medication Management: Provide medication reminders and assist with light meal preparation and feeding as directed by the patient's care plan.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation and activities to provide emotional support, reduce isolation, and improve the patient's quality of life.
- Transportation: Accompany patients to medical appointments, physical therapy sessions, and social activities.
- Home Maintenance: Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and cleaning, to ensure a safe and sanitary living environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- CPR/BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is strongly preferred.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are mandatory for this role.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical professionals.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients safely using proper body mechanics.
