As a Home Health Aide, you will be the eyes and ears for our nursing team, providing essential support to patients in the comfort of their own homes. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive training, and a supportive work environment that values your contribution.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility exercises.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients with feeding.
- Medication Management: Remind patients to take prescribed medications on time and report any side effects or missed doses to the supervisor.
- Companionship: Engage patients in conversation, activities, and social interaction to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks such as laundry, making beds, and tidying up the patient's living area to ensure a safe environment.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) as directed by the RN or Case Manager.
- Transportation: Drive patients to medical appointments or grocery shopping as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid California Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) license.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- CPR/First Aid: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- License: Valid California Driver's License and reliable personal vehicle with insurance.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in home health or long-term care is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and a genuine passion for helping the elderly or disabled.
- Background: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
