Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor patient health status, including vital signs, weight, and appearance, and report any changes to the nursing supervisor.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with light meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Transport patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or grocery shopping using a personal vehicle.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for patients.
- Document daily care logs and progress notes accurately and timely.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Texas).
- Valid Texas Driver's License and current auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
