Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in client condition to supervising nurse
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance client wellbeing
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques
- Administer medication reminders and document care activities accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Tennessee Home Health Aide certification (HHA) or willingness to obtain immediately
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills
- Basic CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
