Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Vital Monitoring: Regularly monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation and recreational activities to combat isolation.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks essential to maintaining a safe and clean living environment.
- Medication Support: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in health status to the Registered Nurse.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social outings.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certification: Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Florida.
- License: Current valid Florida Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient privacy and dignity.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
