As a Home Health Aide with us, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily living activities while providing essential emotional support and companionship.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and in the correct dosage.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation and activities to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report any changes in client health status to the nursing supervisor.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, social outings, or grocery shopping.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Florida Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) license required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or personal care is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Valid ID: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- CPR/First Aid: Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine patience, empathy, and a desire to help others.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
