Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning to maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients move safely between bed, wheelchair, or chair, and assist with walking as needed.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation, activities, and socialization to enhance their quality of life.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and submit daily care notes and incident reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Current CNA or HHA certification (or willingness to obtain) required.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel between client homes.
- CPR & First Aid: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and patience for working with the elderly or those with disabilities.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
