Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide light housekeeping and laundry services to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Monitor patient health, reporting any changes or concerns to the registered nurse immediately.
- Accompany patients to medical appointments and errands using personal vehicle.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Administer medication reminders and document care logs accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification or CNA license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and mobility assistance.
- Previous experience in home care is preferred but not required.
