Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming clients with dignity and respect.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers to and from bed or wheelchair, and ambulation.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature) as directed by the nurse.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Document daily care activities and accurately report any changes in a patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
- Communicate effectively with family members regarding the patient's daily status and needs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation required.
- Previous experience in home care, geriatric care, or healthcare settings is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical stamina to lift, stand, and assist patients for extended periods.
