Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and walking to ensure patient safety.
- Monitor and record vital signs, weight, and food/fluid intake as directed by the nurse.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping related to patient care.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their mental well-being.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Driverβs License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is highly preferred but not always required for entry.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients safely.
- A genuine passion for caregiving and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
