Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist clients with feeding or meal preparation.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, as directed by the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engaging companionship to clients to reduce feelings of isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Medication Management: Assist with medication reminders and ensure clients take their prescribed medications safely and on time.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social outings, ensuring safe travel.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred but we will consider qualified candidates willing to obtain certification.
- Licensure: Valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance are required for traveling to client homes.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others.
