Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide transportation to medical appointments and social outings.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes to the nursing supervisor.
- Administer medication reminders and ensure medication compliance.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Perform range-of-motion exercises as directed by physical therapists.
Qualifications
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and position patients safely.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
