Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, as directed.
- Prepare meals according to special dietary requirements and assist clients with feeding.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation and recreational activities.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, making beds, and cleaning living areas.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, shopping, or social events using personal vehicle.
- Administer medication reminders and report any changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Valid Driver's License and current auto insurance required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience in home healthcare or geriatric care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
