Responsibilities
- Provide essential personal care services, including assisting clients with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility issues, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to maintain a safe living environment.
- Monitor vital signs and remind clients to take prescribed medications on schedule.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Document daily care activities, behavior changes, and incidents accurately in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with nurses and social workers to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification in Nevada.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Driverβs License and reliable personal transportation.
- Pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, professional attitude.
