Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social activities.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Administer medication as directed by the registered nurse and document all care provided.
Qualifications
- Current California Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and assist clients as needed.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in home health or personal care is preferred but not required.
