Responsibilities
- Provide daily living assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation to maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Monitor and accurately record patient health status, vital signs, and daily activities.
- Transport patients to medical appointments, social activities, and therapy sessions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to improve patient morale and well-being.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition or safety concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Current Wisconsin Home Health Aide (HHA) or CNA certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, walking).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-first attitude.
