Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Reminders: Promptly remind clients to take prescribed medications and observe for any adverse reactions.
- Meal Preparation & Nutrition: Plan and prepare nutritious meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in conversation, and participate in recreational activities with clients.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social outings.
- Vital Monitoring: Report any changes in physical or mental health status to the supervising nurse or case manager.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current State Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or CNA certification is preferred.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, geriatric care, or hospitality is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; ability to assist clients with mobility.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
