Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on schedule and document administration accurately.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration as directed by the nurse.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment, including meal preparation and laundry.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and light activities to reduce isolation.
- Transportation: Drive clients to and from medical appointments, social events, or errands.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Nebraska State Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Prior experience in home care, geriatric care, or long-term care is preferred.
- Driver's License: Valid, current driver's license and proof of auto insurance required.
- Clear Background: Must pass a background check, drug screening, and health assessment.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and assist patients weighing up to 250 lbs and stand for extended periods.
