Job Overview
As a Home Health Aide, you will provide personal care and assistance to clients in their homes. Your role is crucial in helping our clients maintain their dignity and quality of life while receiving the support they need.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to prevent isolation.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, or social activities.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for clients.
- Assist with medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is a plus but not always required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, empathetic, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
