Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide mobility assistance and transfer support using proper body mechanics and safety protocols.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding based on specific dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, bed making, and cleaning living areas to ensure a safe environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families to improve overall well-being.
- Document all care activities and patient interactions accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required for client travel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic documentation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
