Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and accurately report changes in client behavior, mood, or physical condition to the supervising nurse.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment for all clients.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Document daily care services in accordance with agency protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- CNA or HHA certification is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and TB test.
