Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse, and report changes to the nursing team.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversation and activities.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with mobility using walkers or wheelchairs.
- Document daily care logs and report incidents or concerns immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Oregon CNA or HHA certification is strongly preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
