Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as assigned.
  • Provide medication reminders and monitor client health status, reporting any changes to the nurse or supervisor.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their mental well-being.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social events.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment for all residents.
  • Document daily care logs and update care plans accurately and timely.

Qualifications

  • Current Texas Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and families.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Physical stamina to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed.
