Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately monitor and record vital signs, weight, and food/fluid intake; report any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage clients in conversation, and accompany them on walks or outings to reduce isolation.
- Household Support: Prepare light meals and assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and changing linens.
- Medication Support: Remind clients to take prescribed medications at scheduled times.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs and progress notes as required by state regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid California Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- License: Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable personal transportation.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with elderly clients.
- CPR: Current CPR and First Aid certification is strongly preferred.
- Background: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
