Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning the client's living space.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and run essential errands.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Administer medication as directed by a nurse or physician (if certified).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- CNA or HHA certification is a plus but not always required.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable personal transportation.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
