Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Administer medication reminders and track patient compliance under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Monitor and report any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the care team.
- Assist with mobility, transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or automobiles safely.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Accompany patients to medical appointments and provide transportation as needed.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients to improve their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Valid California Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and assist patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
