Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Monitor and document patient health status, mood, and behavior changes.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks related to patient care, such as laundry and changing linens.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with mobility as required.
- Administer medication reminders and report any adverse reactions to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA (Home Health Aide) certification preferred.
- Valid Kansas driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and TB test.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
