Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social events, and essential errands
- Monitor client health status and document changes accurately in care records
- Engage clients in meaningful social interaction and cognitive stimulation activities
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain safe living environments
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate client care plans
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience or equivalent training certification
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation tasks
