Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transfers, and walking exercises using proper techniques.
- Document patient progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Ohio CNA (CNAT) license is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification must be up to date.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate demeanor and a professional attitude toward all patients and colleagues.
