Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of medical equipment
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and electronic health records
- Support emotional well-being through compassionate patient interaction
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Adhere to strict HIPAA and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Michigan CNA certification required
- Minimum 6 months recent CNA experience in acute or long-term care
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Clear criminal background check and negative TB test
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
