Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take dental impressions and develop X-rays with precision
- Manage patient charts and digital records using Eaglesoft software
- Administer local anesthetics and nitrous oxide under supervision
- Coordinate treatment plans and insurance verification processes
- Maintain operatory cleanliness and inventory management
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Dental Assistant certification (DANB or ODA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Planmeca)
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Excellent chairside demeanor with strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple patients in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and infection control
- High school diploma or equivalent required
