Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including implants, orthodontics, and restorative treatments
- Manage patient flow and sterilization protocols in accordance with OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for diverse dental procedures
- Take accurate digital radiographs and intraoral photos using advanced imaging systems
- Deliver exceptional patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
- Maintain precise digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current NYS Dental Assistant license or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in general or cosmetic dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral cameras
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Familiarity with practice management software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced settings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to infection control protocols
- Associate’s degree in Dental Assisting or equivalent technical training
