Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital radiography
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA protocols
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate digital records
- Provide post-procedure care instructions and patient education
- Order dental supplies and maintain inventory levels
- Assist with front desk duties including check-in/out and insurance processing
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license (Kansas)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental setting
- Proficiency in digital dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Strong knowledge of infection control and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy practice
- Current CPR certification
- Positive attitude and commitment to patient comfort
