Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and compound prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information efficiently
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) for dispensing records
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- New Mexico Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and pharmacy regulations
- Proficient in pharmacy management software and MS Office
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
