Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive phone and virtual triage assessments of patient symptoms and medical histories.
- Apply critical thinking to determine the appropriate level of care and recommend evidence-based treatment plans.
- Evaluate patients via secure messaging platforms and email, effectively prioritizing urgent cases.
- Document all interactions and patient data accurately and timely within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Provide clear, empathetic health education and self-care instructions to patients and families.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the care team.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with specific triage or urgent care experience strongly preferred.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on patient education.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, sound clinical decisions.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a plus.
