Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including implants, crowns, and orthodontic treatments
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA compliance in all clinical areas
- Train and mentor new assistants on practice-specific protocols and equipment
- Take digital dental radiographs with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Oversee inventory management for clinical supplies and ordering equipment
- Implement infection control procedures exceeding industry standards
- Coordinate seamless patient flow between hygiene and treatment rooms
Qualifications
- CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) or RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certification required
- Minimum 3 years experience in general or cosmetic dentistry
- Expertise in digital radiography (Dexis/Sidexis) and dental practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current AHA or Red Cross credentials
- Proven ability to manage high-volume clinical schedules efficiently
- Excellent chairside manner with experience in patient education
- Strong organizational skills with attention to HIPAA compliance
