Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorative treatments
- Perform advanced radiography (panoramic, cephalometric) and digital imaging
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Train and mentor new dental assistants on equipment and protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize chairside efficiency
- Manage dental software (Eaglesoft/Dentrix) and patient records
- Prepare treatment rooms and specialized equipment
- Implement OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant license and radiography certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in general or specialty dentistry
- Advanced knowledge of dental procedures and instruments
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Experience with digital imaging and practice management software
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume practice
- Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred
