Responsibilities
- Execute clinical procedures including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Manage patient intake, electronic health records (EHR), and insurance verification
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Lead patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Train and mentor new medical assistants on clinic protocols
- Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling and billing support
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification with current credentials
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Spanish bilingual proficiency highly preferred
