Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications with 99.9% accuracy while adhering to HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, receiving, and controlled substance tracking
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices and compliance standards
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize medication therapy management and patient counseling
- Implement quality control protocols for compounding and sterile preparations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1) for inventory and prescription management
- Lead inventory reduction initiatives achieving 15% cost savings annually
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in hospital or retail pharmacy setting
- Expertise in sterile compounding and IV admixture preparation
- Proven ability to manage high-volume prescription workflows (200+ daily)
- Advanced knowledge of TN pharmacy laws and DEA regulations
- CPR certification and immunization training preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR and pharmacy automation systems
- Strong leadership skills with mentorship experience
