Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify orders for completeness
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and compounding medications
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality protocols
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to resolve medication discrepancies
- Utilize pharmacy software for record-keeping and prescription processing
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and medical staff
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 2 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Compounded sterile preparation certification (CPhT-SCP) preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology
