Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Verify insurance coverage and process billing claims
- Manage inventory and order pharmaceutical supplies
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Maintain compliance with DEA and HIPAA regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB certification (required)
- Minimum 3 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of drug interactions and compounding
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Background check and drug screen clearance
