Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations and supervise 2-3 technicians
- Verify prescription accuracy and compound specialized medications
- Manage inventory control and automate ordering systems
- Train new staff on HIPAA compliance and safety protocols
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for medication therapy management
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV preparations
Qualifications
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT)
- 3+ years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Advanced IV certification or compounding training
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent attention to detail with zero-error medication verification
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
