Responsibilities
- Oversee prescription processing accuracy and workflow efficiency
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Manage controlled substance inventory and DEA compliance
- Perform sterile compounding for specialized medications
- Coordinate with pharmacists on complex patient cases
- Implement inventory optimization strategies
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Active KY Pharmacy Technician license (PCT) required
- Minimum 3 years hospital or specialty pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of compounding protocols
- Experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Background check and drug screening required
