Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately while maintaining strict compliance with state and federal regulations
- Manage inventory control systems, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring controlled substances
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices and safety protocols
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in pharmacy management systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical services and medication therapy management
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license with at least 2 years of experience
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, HIPAA compliance, and sterile compounding
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent attention to detail and mathematical accuracy for medication calculations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive patient information
