Responsibilities
- Compound and dispense prescription medications with 100% accuracy verification
- Manage controlled substance inventory and DEA compliance protocols
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Coordinate with insurance providers to resolve billing complexities
- Maintain sterile compounding environments per USP <797> standards
- Utilize pharmacy software (QS1, Omnicell) for inventory management
- Lead patient consultations on medication adherence and OTC products
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB/NHA)
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Valid DEA registration for controlled substance handling
- Advanced IV compounding certification preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-medication-error record
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends/holidays
- BLS/CPR certification required
